1974 Martin D-28 is in excellent condition and perfect playing order. Comes with the original hardcase.
When this guitar came to us, it was apparent it had been sitting in storage for a long while and was in need of some TLC. It had a neck reset, new carved-bone saddle, new carved-bone nut, as well as some minor fret touch ups. The original pickguard had "potato-chipped" off the top, and has had a new pickguard professionally installed. Other than the neck reset and the replacement pickguard, it's never been repaired for any cracks or breaks!
Overall this 43 year old guitar is in amazingly clean condition! No dings, dents, chips, or bonks anywhere! The top has a beautiful display of finish checking all over. The back and sides are both extremely clean as well! There's a small, maybe 1" long, buckle rash/scuff in the center of the back, but it can only be seen with the proper lighting. Frets 1-5 have a very small amount of wear. On the treble side of the neck, where the fretboard joins the body and the body joins the neck, there's an inch and a half long surface scratch. Thankfully it has zero affect on the playability. The back of the neck is free from any dings, dents, or impressions.
Has a 1 11/16" nut width, 25 1/2" scale length, and weighs 4 pounds 13 ounces.
